How it works

From useful date to usable idea

  1. 1Choose your area

See national, Queensland and relevant local dates together.

  2. 2Focus the calendar

Filter by category, search a topic or switch to Planning.

  3. 3Open the opportunity

See why the date matters and when campaign work should begin.

The inclusion test

Useful beats exhaustive

Dates earn a place when they affect Australian routines, families, spending, work, education or community life. Optional lighter marketing days stay out of the default view.

Questions about the calendar

Which locations are included?

The first release covers Australia-wide dates, Queensland-wide dates, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

Why are some awareness days missing?

The calendar is deliberately curated. A date must have meaningful Australian commercial, cultural, family or community relevance to appear by default.

What does the Planning view show?

It shows events whose recommended preparation window has started, even when the event itself is still weeks or months away.

Where do the dates come from?

Production entries retain the official or authoritative source and the date on which the event was last verified.

Will other Australian states be added?

Yes. The data model separates national, state and local relevance so additional states can be added without rebuilding the interface.

Can I add an event to my own calendar?

Single-event downloads and broader calendar exports are planned for a later release.
